Antioxidants

(also called antioxidants)

A group of chemicals that neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals (ROS). Thanks to this, they prevent serious damage to cells and, consequently, their premature aging. The main task of antioxidants is to prevent the formation of the so-called oxidative stress.

White beeswax 

Creates a delicate protective film on the skin that regenerates and reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL). In addition, it smoothes and nourishes.

Acticire

(Jojoba Esters / Helianthus Annuus Seed Wax / Acacia Decurrens Flower Wax / Polyglycerin-3)

Active texturing agent based on jojoba waxes, acacia flowers and sunflower. It acts as a softener for dry skin, gives it protection against adverse external factors, softness and a satin finish.

Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) 

the primary antioxidant enzyme found in cells that metabolize oxygen. SOD is a natural barrier that protects cells from the toxic effects of free radicals.

Moringa pterygosperma seed extract 

(Glycerin, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Extract)

improves the skin's barrier function, thus protecting it against pollution. Creates a protective film that prevents the deposition of PM 2.5 dust (according to WHO - the most harmful of all atmospheric pollutants) on the skin. In addition, it increases the vitality of skin cells and stimulates collagen synthesis.

Fibroblasts

connective tissue cells found in the dermis, responsible for the production of collagen and elastin, i.e. the main supporting proteins of the skin, determining its firmness, density, elasticity and elasticity. These cells also synthesize hyaluronic acid, which affects the proper hydration and strength of the skin.

Akmelia extract, which was traditionally used as a spice and anesthetic substance. It has a proven effect in face and body cosmetics, incl. stimulating fibroblasts, which strengthens and tightens the skin, smoothes wrinkles. In clinical trials of the raw material, the improvement in the condition of the skin around the eyes (crow's feet) was clearly visible after just one day (two applications). The raw material has also been tested for its firming effect on the neck and décolleté areas. The results were visible after 28 and 56 days of use.

Kolagen - główne białko budulcowe skóry

constituting about 72% of its dry weight. It is produced by fibroblasts in the dermis.

It takes the form of a triple helix and consists of three chains of approximately one hundred amino acids. Together with elastin, it gives the skin extremely important physical properties, such as tension, elasticity, firmness, elasticity, resistance to damage, stretchability.

Kokum butter 

quite hard butter obtained from the seeds of the fruit of the tree Garcinia indica. It softens, regenerates, smoothes and tones the skin.

It absorbs quickly and leaves no sticky layer. It is rich in oleic and stearic acid glycerides and vitamin E.

Thanks to it, it does not lose its moisture and is more resistant to harmful external factors. It reduces the visibility of pores, making the skin smoother. In addition, it prevents discoloration and brightens the existing ones. It inhibits the synthesis of melanin - the skin pigment responsible for the creation of dark pigmentation spots. it has a high content of omega-9 fatty acids, vitamin C, vitamin E and flavonoids. All these ingredients are known for their cosmetic properties. Fatty acids provide adequate skin hydration, while vitamin C brightens the skin and is a powerful antioxidant. Vitamin E and flavonoids have an anti-aging and regenerating effect, in addition, flavonoids are used in the care of acne-prone skin. Progerine

also called Laminate A. It is a protein that contributes to the aging of the skin. Present in dermis fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Its synthesis is counteracted by the Progeline ™ peptide, slowing down skin aging.

UV rays 

ultraviolet radiation (types: UVA / UVB).

UVA radiation constitutes 95% of the sun's UV radiation that reaches the earth. UV is primarily the main cause of the formation of free radicals that lead to photoaging of the skin. Thanks to them, fibroblasts disappear, which slows down the process of collagen production, which is responsible for the density, firmness and elasticity of the skin. In addition, elastin fibers are impaired, thanks to which the skin is elastic and stretchy. The effect of damage to collagen and elastin fibers is the loss of firmness and sagging of the skin, the appearance of furrows, wrinkles and drooping of the face oval.

SKINectura™

It is a natural antioxidant. It gives the skin softness and elasticity (softness. It facilitates the penetration of active substances into the skin, making the action of the cosmetic more intense.

Oxidative stress 

plays a key role in the aging process. It is essentially an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the antioxidant system that can counteract or neutralize the harmful effects.

Tocopherol

(witamina E) 

a substance with antioxidant (antioxidant) properties, inhibits skin aging processes caused by e.g. UV radiation or cigarette smoke. It is an excellent factor inhibiting radical lipid oxidation in the epidermis and dermis. Vitamin E has the ability to integrate into the lipid structures of cell membranes and the intercellular cement of the stratum corneum, thanks to which it strengthens the epidermal barrier. Strengthening the epidermal barrier not only hinders the penetration of foreign substances and prevents irritation, but also inhibits TEWL (transepidermal water loss), thus improving skin hydration. It strengthens the walls of blood vessels and improves blood circulation in the skin.
